Our Story

Meet Nesma

Nesma Nader is a multidisciplinary artist with Egyptian and Lebanese roots, born and raised in Egypt. She grew up in a home where making things by hand was simply how life worked — her mother, also a multidisciplinary artist, filled their world with paint, mosaics, clay, and fabrics.

Surrounded by all of this, Nesma found her own path through sculpture and miniature clay figurines. But it was at the age of sixteen that she discovered jewellery making — and everything changed.

Where It Started

She began with chains, wires, and beads, crafting pieces and selling them at community markets. Before long, she moved on to sterling silver and semi-precious stones. It still gives her joy to know that some of those early designs are being worn many years later.

Nesma always wanted to push further — to learn more advanced techniques. But finding someone willing to teach the deeper skills of the craft proved difficult. The secrets of the industry were closely guarded.

The Search

Years later, when Nesma moved to Dubai, she went straight to the Gold Souk. She visited workshops, looking for someone who would take her in as an apprentice. Unfortunately, she had no luck.

But she kept searching. Eventually, she found her way to a silversmithing class — and she fell in love with the craft all over again.

Nine Years Later

Now, after nine years and many more classes, her skills are far more refined. Her passion has only grown stronger. And she wants to share it with the world.
